The Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra has set itself the goal of presenting Viennese music at the very highest level—in all its colours and facets, in its melancholy as well as in its cheerfulness. Following the great successes of the past two years, the orchestra and conductor Johannes Wildner have once again been invited for a guest appearance at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie. This time, the programme features works by Johann Strauss the elder and the younger, as well as Eduard and Josef Strauss.
