Schumann and contemporary Danish music: Johannes Wildner and the Sønderjyllands Symphony

A pair of works by Danish composer Anders Koppel opens the two concerts that Johannes Wildner and his Sønderjyllands Symfoni play in Tønder and Flensburg: The Festival Overture and the second concerto for accordion and orchestra, with Bjarke Mogensen as soloist; after the intermission, Schumann’s first symphony complements (and compliments) the modern works.
